This study represents the case of a chain of 3 independent hotels from Madrid area.
Hotels are rated to 3 and 4 stars and have between 70 and 120 rooms. Main target is represented by business customers but leisure travelers have a steady share in occupancy rate.
We investigated several variables beginning with daily demand, competitor's prices, own price, macroeconomic influences and we found several patterns. The result of our study is an algorithm that enables the managers to establish dynamically the most profitable daily price based on several environmental factors, including competitor's actions.
